The evaluation unit SCU 800 (Sensor Control Unit) is a central control device which supplies with voltage to a maximum of two sensor cables SEC 15, performs a cyclic enquiry of the connected sensors every 10 seconds, records the temperature values obtained and immediately evaluates it according to different criterions.
A fire alarm is activated if, at one measuring point, the temperature exceeds a line, or if the temperature increases over the time (differential performance).
Both alarm lines can be programmed up 64 configurable sectors.
The special evaluation algorithms minimize significantly the false alarms due to natural temperature changes.
The alarm is signalled both optically on the front of the device and through potential free contacts, for its electrical relaying to other computer and control systems or to a fire detection panel. Both the cable evaluation and the alarm signal are performed separately. The continuous enquiry of the sensors data can detect and signal immediate breakdown.
It has collective alarm relays (one for sensors cable) and one collective breakdown relay.
